Congrats to Alexa Capps and Mallory Hapeman for being named to the Midland Trail Conference All Conference Team and to Leah Sutton and Whitney Lowery for being named honorable mention.

Next Friday is the last day that yearbooks for the 2009-2010 school year can be purchased. Cost is $40.00 or $45.00 with personalization. See Mrs. O'Daniell to order.

Starting on Monday, the cafeteria will be offering boxed meals for $2.00. They will include such items as hamburger and fries, chicken strips and fries and on mexican food days there will be a taco salad or comparible items. Regular ala carte items will still be available.

Little Ceasars pizza will be available tomorrow.

Shirts are availabe to order commemorating the first Woodlawn girls basketball team to make it to the Sweet 16 this year. See Mr. Helbig to order.

Freshman need to turn in their candy money by the end of the week.

The boys basketball team was defeated by Sesser-Valier in the Salem super-sectional 53-44 in overtime.  Casey Hammond had 25 points, Dawson Verhines 9, and Josh Wiggs 8.  The Cardinals conclude their season with a record of 26 wins and 6 losses.

The boys basketball players are to turn in their uniforms, practice jerseys, and hoodie money to Mr. Witzel as soon as possible.

The boys basketball players that are playing baseball are excused from todays practice. You are expected to be there tomorrow.

Any FFA member interested in helping and volunteering for Ag. Safety Day need to meet in the Ag. room today at 12:15

Congratulations goes out to Travis Tatlock for placing “First in Math and Physics” in the Sectional WYSE Academic Competition held at SIUC on March 9th..  In the history of Woodlawn High School we have never had one student go to State with Two First Place Finishes. Travis will compete at the WYSE State Finals on April 19th at the University of Illinois in Champaign.

Todays ala carte items are toasted ravioli, chicken rings and corn nuggets.

Tonight the Cardinals play at the Salem super-sectional.  The game is to begin at 7:30 and the bus will leave at 6:00. Cardinal fans wear red to support WHS!

FCA will meet tomorrow at lunch.. Please grab your lunch and head to the New Gym.

Prom has been scheduled for May 15th.

Sophmore or Junior students interested in taking one of the Mt. Vernon High School AVC classes next school year need to sign up for the March 17th presentation. The sign up sheet is located on the cafeteria door.

The boys basketball team defeated Cumberland Friday night 61-60 to win the Red Hill Sectional.  Dawson Verhines had 20 points, Kirk Dunbar 13, and Josh Wiggs 12.  Josh Wiggs had 8 rebounds and Christian McNeil had 6.  Kirk Dunbar had the most assists with 3.  The Cardinals won their 20th straight game to improve their record to 26-5.  They play tomorrow night at the Salem super-sectional.  The game is to begin at 7:30 and the bus will leave at 6:00.

Varsity Scholar Bowl, do not forget regionals are today. The van will leave at 3:45 p.m. Also, you need to wear your red scholar bowl t-shirts and jeans with no holes in them.
