Last night the girls basketball team beat Cisne on senior night 54-27.
Alexa Capps 16 points, Leah Sutton 15, Allison England 11, Kinzie
Verhines 10 and Elesa Hefner was the leading rebounder with 7.
The girls next play in the Wayne City Regional on Monday against Edwards Co.
Yesterday the Scholar Bowl teams competed in non-conference games at
Waltonville. The JV team lost 95-200. Blake Bennett, Andrew Seaman, and
Stevie Langa all scored 10 points each. The JV record is now 9 and 5.
The varsity team won 195-45. Connor Moore scored 30 points, Kourtney
Hodge had 20 points, and Drew Wehrheim, Monica Burney, James Watts, and
Katie Thomas all added 10 points each. The varsity improved their record
to 10 and 5. The next match is the Varsity Conference Tournament on
Monday at Cisne. Only juniors and seniors will attend the
tournament. We will leave at 2:45.
Seniors interested in money for college stop by Mr. Hanner's office to
pick-up 4 new college scholarships today during lunch. Seniors planning to attend Rend Lake College next summer or fall stop by Mr. Hanner's office today during lunch or 8th hour.
The fr/so boys basketball team defeated Waltonville 62-43. Logan Wollerman had 21 points, Chase Phelps 12, and Nathan Arnold 8. The boys basketball team plays here tonight against Cisne.
There will be a meeting about prom at 2:45 today. All prom committee members need to attend.
Volleyball/basketball girls that are selling t-shirts at the game tonight need to be here by 6. Ms. Loveless will be here to help you sell and set up. If you have any questions talk to Mrs. Lamzyk or Ms. Loveless before the end of school today.
Woodlawn High School will be holding an Open House this Friday night, February 3rd, from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm. Community members will have an opportunity to view the reconstructed North Wing section of the main building. Classrooms will be open to see the finished project.
Visitors will also be allowed to view the Energy Conservation Projects completed in recent months.
Members of the Safety of Our Schools (S.O.S.) Committee, along with representatives of the High School, will be present to share information with the public at this time.

There is now an applications process for School Publications. Anyone who is interested in joining the School Publications class for 2012-2013 should pick up an application from Mr. Smith. Applications are due back February 22.
Last night the girls basketball team lost to Hamilton County 49-45. Alexa
Capps scored 20 pts and Leah Sutton 15. Leah also passed the 1000 points
mark for her career in the game.
Tonight is the girls senior night. We will recognize the seniors at 6pm prior to the start of the game. Come and give your support.

After-school tutoring is cancelled today.
Freshmen candy money is due on February 9th. Please get your box sold and your money turned in!
FFA fundraiser sheets are due to Mrs. Morgan by this Friday. Please try to hit the goal of 15 items per person.

The boys basketball team was defeated by Sesser-Valier 48-43. A.J. Webb, Christian Hollenkamp, and Gabe Owens had 10 points while Kris Harlow had 8. Owens and Hollenkamp had 2 assists and Logan Isaac was the leading rebounder with 3. The Cardinals are now 19-3. The JV team defeated Sesser-Valier 56-50. Ty Coleman had 13 points, Matt Kennedy 11, Jayson Hapeman 10, Brendan Petersen 9, and Jake Robinson 9. The JV team is 9-1. The next game is here friday night against Cisne. The varsity team will be playing Madison in the Nashville Shootout on Saturday. Game time is 4:30.

The boys basketball team defeated South Central 44-29. Gabe Owens had 13 points, Kris Harlow 10, and AJ Webb 8. Owens had the most rebounds with 5 and the most assists with 6. The Cardinals are 19-2 and 6-0 in the MTC. The JV team defeated South Central 64-26. Jake Robinson had 15 points, Jayson Hapeman 11, and Matt Kennedy 8.The JV teams is 8-1.
