Mr. Helbig’s Rules

Be in seat when
the bell rings to avoid a tardy. Tardy problems can get you locked out of 1st
hour class and result in an unexcused absence.

Leaving the
classroom
o
If you put your
books down and ask before the bell,
you may go without using your passbook. If this is being abused, it will be
taken away. (This rule does not apply to 1st or 5th hour
classes.)
o
During class, you
may only go if you have your passbook and we are not doing anything as a group.
You may go without your passbook if you are willing to take a tardy.
o
YOUR passbook or
a tardy is necessary to leave class for any reason other than to meet another
teacher.

Materials
o
Book, pen/pencil,
paper must be brought everyday.
o
Under no
circumstances will you be able to borrow from me.
o
If you need to
borrow from someone, do so before I start class.
o
Assignments/tests
may be done in pen or pencil. Pen is actually preferred. Please no red or
pastel colors.

No food or drink.
Period. Unless you have a medical condition.

Don’t touch my
stuff without permission.
o
When using my
stuff, put it back where it came from.
o
Pick up all of
your trash.

Assignments with
fringes will no be accepted.

Assignments with
no names will thrown away.

Talking before
the entire class is finished will result in a 10% deduction.

Missing class
o
If you know you
are going to miss class for a school activity, let me know before hand.
o
I will not chase
you down for make-up work. It is your responsibility to get it from me. Failure
to get it, or make arrangements to retake a test, will result in a zero.
o
If you want to
give blood in the afternoon, you must ask me if it is OK first if you have me
for an afternoon class. (No one is EVER done in time for their next class,
trust me.)
