| Keyboarding I |
Students completing this course at Woodlawn High School and receiving an A, B, or C in the course will also receive college credit for the following course through Rend Lake College:
OFTC 1202 - Beginning Document Formatting
This course is designed for the beginning student to develop touch control of the keyboard, proper techniques and machine manipulations. The student will apply document formatting skills to the production of letters, memorandums, tables, reports and other business documents using word-processing software. The student should be able to key a minimum of 25 words per minute for five minutes, with a maximum of five errors, by the end of the semester. |
| Web Design |
Students completing this course at Woodlawn High School and receiving an A, B, or C in the course will also receive college credit for the following course through Rend Lake College:
GRD 1215 - Web Page Design
This course will develop basic skills necessary to create and maintain web pages. Students will develop an understanding of basic HTML codes, page layout, links and how they affect different browsers. |

Students completing this course at Woodlawn High School and receiving an A, B, or C in the course will also receive college credit for the following course through Rend Lake College:
CSCI 1243 - Beginning Microsoft Word
This is a beginning-level course in designing and creating documents in a Windows-based environment. The textbook used is approved by Microsoft as courseware that teaches the skills necessary to pass the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) Core Certification exam in Word 2000. Students will learn to create, print, edit and format documents. In addition, students learn to use the spelling and grammar tools, manipulate tabs, create headers and footers and create footnotes and endnotes. The MOUS Core Certification exam is not included as part of this course. |

Students completing this course at Woodlawn High School and receiving an A, B, or C in the course will also receive college credit for the following course through Rend Lake College:
CSCI 1263 - Beginning Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet
This is a beginning-level course in designing and creating spreadsheets in a Windows-based environment. Students will learn to prepare and format Excel worksheets. They will learn to move data within and between worksheets and to insert formulas in a worksheet, create charts and maps, insert clip art images in worksheets and create web pages. |
| Accounting I |
Students completing this course at Woodlawn High School and receiving an A, B, or C in the course will also receive college credit for the following course through Rend Lake College:
OFTC 1233 - Office Accounting
This course is designed for the office assistant who needs an understanding of general office accounting. Emphasis also is placed on accounting problems and situations encountered in medical and legal offices. The course will include hands-on experience on the microcomputer. |
